Microvascular Morphology MR Imaging Using Relaxation Rate Change with Gadolinium‐Based Contrast Agent in Patients with Alzheimer’s Disease

چکیده
Background Conventional MRI techniques cannot demonstrate microvascular alterations in mild and moderate Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Thus, the diagnosis of pathology commonly relies on postmortem. The purpose this study was to evaluate structures patients with AD using a 3T clinical system commercially available contrast agent. Method Eleven 11 non-AD controls were included cross-sectional prospective study. R2 R2* relaxation rate changes (∆R2 ∆R2*) before after Gd-based agent injection calculated from images obtained multi-echo turbo spin-echo sequence gradient-echo obtain index maps blood volume fraction (BVf), mean vessel diameter (mVD), size (VSI), density (Q), microvessel-weighted imaging (MvWI). Two-sample t-test used compare those values between two groups. Correlation analysis performed relationship mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score. Result Compared group, BVf significantly increased group at parahippocampal gyrus (p = 0.033), gray matter area 0.008), white 0.010). Recent Advances in PET-MR Hybrid contrast agent
Introduction: All of the Imaging modalities have advantages and disadvantages alone. So if we want to have the best and perfect image, combining these modalities produces something we desired. PET-MR images consist of morphologic and metabolic data. MRI and PET provide high spatial and contrast resolution and high sensitivity and molecular information respectively. Hybrid PET-...

MR Imaging in Patients with Suspected Liver Metastases: Value of Liver-Specific Contrast Agent Gadoxetic Acid
OBJECTIVE To compare the diagnostic performance of gadoxetic acid-enhanced magnetic resonance (MR) imaging with that of triple-phase multidetector-row computed tomography (MDCT) in the detection of liver metastasis. MATERIALS AND METHODS Our institutional review board approved this retrospective study and waived informed consent. The study population consisted of 51 patients with hepatic meta...
متن کاملImaging hypoxia using a nitroimidazole based T1 MR contrast agent
Introduction: Hypoxic regions in tumors are known to affect radiation sensitivity and promote development of metastases [1]. Noninvasive imaging based methods such as MRI are particularly suitable for longitudinal measurements and generation of three-dimensional spatial maps of tumor hypoxia [2]. An MRI method that could differentiate hypoxic versus normoxic tissues without relying on washout m...
